On a sunny Sunday, in the Hague 2,000 drummers of different ages united to have the time of their lives playing drums for 40,000 lucky visitors. 26 years ago a similar event was held, but it came back now twice as big and spectacular.

The unique event was organized by Cesar Zuiderwijk. Cesar personally made event-flags available in 4 colors and images, that were especially made for this event. The total proceeds of the flags went to the Rick Jonckheere Foundation. Rick Jonckheere (pictured below) was first-year student Drums at the Rock Academy of Fontys Hogeschool of the Arts who died unexpectedly of a very rare autoimmune disease at the young age of 18. The foundation funds research into this rare disease so that others may benefit in the future.
